We recently presented at Innovation China 2019 where leading academics, multinational companies, venture capitalists and government officials gather annually to discuss, debate, share and generate new ideas about different emerging technologies.
The focus was on new materials that deliver sustainable and efficient innovations, so people were excited to hear about Azumo and why we created the world’s thinnest light guide. We talked to an eager audience about the different consumer, industrial and medical applications our materials make possible as well as the surge in Reflective LCD availability and quality that’s making low-power devices much easier to develop at scale.
The conference is organized by CM Venture Capital, a Shanghai-based materials-focused venture capital company, managing strategic capital from GE, BASF, Samsung, SABIC, Henkel, and BAT. The conference encourages dialogue between the East and the West and fosters open innovation and open entrepreneurship. This obviously was a big challenge as cross-border investments have fallen significantly under the current “Trade War” that’s taken over headlines across the globe. While this has significantly undercut current cross-border investment, many investors noted that it only drives harder the need for innovation in both countries.
We’d love to discuss more of the exciting technologies we saw at Innovation China this year.
