Azumo — the leader in low-power displays
We’re lighting the way for a new age of device displays.
We’re lighting the way for a new age of device displays.
In 2008, Mike Casper, Dr. Tony Nichol, and Shawn Pucylowski came together in Chicago to form FLEx Lighting. Initially they focused on combining xenon light bulbs, fiber optics and plastic film into a thin light source. Over time this turned into a much more compact system of LEDs and optical film.
Soon enough, they would create the FLEx front light panel: a breakthrough light transmission system that could revolutionize the display industry.
In early 2021, FLEx became Azumo: a combination of azure, a cloudless sky which is our greatest source of natural light and the primary illumination source for reflective displays & lumo, a nod to “lumens” for light.
Today, Azumo is delivering on the promise of LCD 2.0 to make displays efficient, effective, and safe for all.
At Azumo, we’re changing the way we see and experience light. We’re innovators constantly searching for the latest and greatest in light and displays.
